TOTAL RECALL FAIL

Audit Exposes Roberson & Cegavske’s Conspiracy for their Own Selfish Advantage

LAS VEGAS, NV – After the 2017 Legislative Session, State Senator Michael Roberson sought revenge by championing a recall effort against 3 female State Senators. Over the past year, the 3 State Senators all had to defend their seats as an out-of-state funded effort by the Republican State Leadership Committee, spearheaded by Senator Michael Roberson, attempted to collect signatures from 25% of the voters who put them in office originally.
Without any evidence or claims on how these Senators were worthy of a recall, Roberson’s scheme was to steal a legislative majority behind the backs of voters. With Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske’s outdated system, more taxpayer money was wasted and time was spent trying to defend Senators Woodhouse, Farley, and Cannizzaro’s seats in an effort that should have never happened in the first place.
This week, the Nevada Values PAC released a six-figure ad-buy calling attention to Michael Roberson’s self-serving behavior and the countless times he’s walked out on Nevadans. You can visit the website at www.robersonfacts.com.
In yet another example of Michael Roberson being a self-serving politician, State Senator Patricia Farley, President of the Nevada Values PAC released the following statement:
“Every elected Nevada legislator and constitutional office holder makes the same oath upon taking office: ‘I, do solemnly swear that I will support, protect and defend the Constitution and Government of the United States, and the Constitution and Government of the State of Nevada, against all enemies, whether domestic or foreign, and that I will bear true faith, allegiance and loyalty to the same, any ordinance, resolution or law of any State notwithstanding, and that I will well and faithfully perform all the duties of the office on which I am about to enter; so help me God; under the pains and penalties of perjury.’
The simplest definition of political corruption is an act by a public official that defies broad public interests, to give special consideration to the needs of associates and like-minded individuals. The oath and the definition of political corruption do not include expectations of tribal party politics, self over service, use of ‘false flags of loyalty’, or unabashed deception of the electorate.
We have become a news cycle society, politicians of low integrity reinvent themselves twelve months prior to an election in hopes that you forgot how they failed to act in the public interest and only served themselves.
Nevadans need to remember, not one dollar came from Nevadans to support the Roberson Recalls. Hundreds of thousands of dollars were spent to pay people to knock on doors and deceive the voters in state senate districts five, six and eight. And when they deception wore out, fraud was employed.
This scheme only worked due to the exploitation of the poor systems and grossly inadequate process for verifying signatures.  Please remember, every single dollar spent on this corrupt act, came from an out-of-state third party committed to funding Michael Roberson’s desire for power to deceive voters and undo fair elections that occurred in our state.”
